Sasquatch Skype Music Room

We were given the opportunity to bring Skype to the 2014 Sasquatch music festival through our partnership with Live Nation. Our brief was to create a festival experience that innovates with innovators through music, establishing an epic role for Skype
amongst festival goers and driving affinity amongst this prized influencer group.

We concepted, produced and curated the Skype Music Room, a fully immersive music festival experience which combined original electronic music compositions with mind-bending visual projections and Skype technology. We invited festival-goers to “musicalize” themselves by recording a Skype Video Instant Message which would be fed into the space where they could remix and manipulate it in front of a live festival audience – showcasing the interactivity of Skype technology.

Over the course of the weekend we had over 5000 visitors experience the Music Room, with nearly half of attendees signing up for Skype’s music newsletter. Coverage generated over 200 million PR impressions.
